What You Will Do- Respond to and troubleshoot machine breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Maintain and coordinate repairs to manufacturing equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Create Engineering Service Orders (ESOs) for new work entering the Limited Production area.
- Research, develop, and implement process improvements to increase manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
- Order and manage raw materials, tooling, and production supplies to support manufacturing operations.
- Assist the Limited Production Manager with daily operational and manufacturing engineering activities.
- Calculate production, labor, and material costs to support manufacturing planning and business decisions.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize manufacturing data to prepare product and process reports.
- Provide manufacturing engineering support by responding to technical questions and production requests.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements to support production.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to resolve manufacturing challenges and improve production performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent manufacturing experience.
- 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience supporting machining operations.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, particularly aluminum and steel manufacturing.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Experience with CNC programming preferred.
- Experience supporting equipment troubleshooting and manufacturing process improvements.
- Knowledge of production planning, tooling, and manufacturing cost analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems; ERP/MRP experience is preferred.
$75,000 – $90,000
Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
Work RequirementsThis role is considered an on-site position located in Windsor Locks, CT.
- You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
- Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Due to the nature of the work, No travel is required.
