Job Description & How to Apply Below
You start your shift scanning dashboards and walk the floor to spot trends across the material handling equipment (MHE) fleet. If a reach truck throws a fault, you trace it through schematics, isolate the issue, and get it back in service. Between calls, you drive the preventive maintenance schedule—oil and filter changes, calibrations, belt swaps, inspections, adjustments, and lubrication—so breakdowns are the exception, not the rule.
You document time and parts in the CMMS as you go, keeping the operation informed and the data clean.
What you’ll tackle
Own health and uptime of MHE through monitoring, trending, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.
Execute PMs according to manufacturer specifications and timelines: oil and filter changes, calibrations, belt replacements, inspections, adjustments, and lubrication.
Log labor, parts, and work orders accurately in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).Read and apply plans, specifications, schematics, and O&M manuals to diagnose and resolve issues.
Support battery room operations: assist with charger repairs, change-outs for MHE, repair plugs and tips on batteries/chargers, water and wash batteries, and perform acid spill cleanup.
Partner with building and refrigeration maintenance teams on general facility repairs, electrical troubleshooting, refrigeration system maintenance/repair, and related tasks.
What you bring
Mechanical depth across transmissions, drive units, differentials, braking systems, internal combustion engines, telescopic masts, reach mechanisms, steering, and suspension systems.
Working knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems for MHE PM, troubleshooting, and repair.
Expertise with hydraulics and hydraulic schematics/components; strong with electrical systems/schematics (AC and DC), drive motors, power amps, PLC-based controls, and related electronics.
Background that fits1–2 years entering work orders and PMs into a CMMS, including time and materials tracking.
Hands-on exposure to Crown, Raymond, or Toyota MHE is a plus.
Experience from automotive shops or wheeled-army mechanic roles welcomed.
