A long-standing service operation is hiring a Diesel Technician in Windsor Locks, CT, near North Hartford, to diagnose, repair, and maintain medium- and heavy-duty vehicles. Duties & Responsibilities Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on medium- and heavy-duty vehicles.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and complete mechanical and electrical repairs.
Follow established technical and administrative processes.
Accurately complete repair orders and parts usage documentation.
Communicate clearly with supervisors, team members, and customers.
Stay current on technical updates and regulatory requirements.
Perform road service calls as required.
Requirements
Required:
High school diploma, technical school, or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in automotive, truck, or bus repair.
Own and maintain the required hand tools.
Proficient with computer operation and usage.
Valid driver’s license.#SJ1 Compensation:$20.00 – $46.00/hr starting pay based on experience, certifications, and skill level
Sign-on bonus available for highly qualified technicians
