Refrigeration Technician

DeVivo Companies is hiring a full‑time Transport Refrigeration Technician in Windsor Locks, CT. The role involves maintaining and repairing transport refrigeration units (TRU) and auxiliary power units (APU) for commercial fleets.

• Perform preventive maintenance and service inspections on transport refrigeration units and auxiliary power units.
• Diagnose and repair mobile refrigeration equipment, auxiliary power units, and heater equipment.
• Follow established technical and administrative processes.
• Complete repair orders and parts usage forms.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and customers.
• Stay current on technical and regulatory requirements.
• Perform road service calls as required.

• Experience in refrigeration/HVAC equipment installation and/or repair.
• Skills to install, diagnose, and repair refrigeration equipment.
• Technical knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, materials, methods, and equipment.
• Own and maintain proper hand tools for job functions.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical trade school a plus.
• Proficient computer operation/usage.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to obtain EPA 608/609 refrigeration certifications.
