Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 per year

Reporting to:
Regional Vice President

Role Purpose

The Account Manager assists the operational team to deliver excellent and safer performance in the cargo service functions at a high‑volume international airport. Responsibilities include managing the company’s relationship with assigned airline customers, acting as a liaison, and leading problem avoidance and resolution initiatives.

Primary Accountabilities & Duties
  • Implement Menzies Aviation policies and procedures as outlined in the Eight Pillars of Management
  • Ensure service delivery to customer airlines meets contract terms and budget limits
  • Ensure safety and security procedures comply with Menzies health & safety regulations and international aviation standards
  • Monitor performance and take corrective action for shortfalls
  • Liaise with airline station managers, airport operations staff, handling agents, customs, immigration, security officials, and other airport stakeholders
  • Provide reports and service delivery metrics as required
  • Provide leadership to the management team, developing their skills
  • Conduct interviews, training, planning, assignment, performance appraisal, employee recognition and ensure employees complete company training programs
  • Work shifts as required by the business
  • Report significant deficiencies in products, materials and documents
  • Suggest improvements to working practices, especially regarding safety and security
  • Follow all required security procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Manage employees in the Ground Handling department
  • Responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the unit
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws
Candidate Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Two to five years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Airport ground handling experience at a high‑volume international airport
  • Financial management skills awareness
  • Effective communication with senior level personnel
  • Ability to work with a multinational workforce and adapt to local station conditions
  • Working knowledge of the IATA Standard Ground Handling Agreement
  • Aptitude to develop supervisory team, provide succession planning, and re‑engineer business processes
  • Ability to support other stations as required and cover station responsibilities when on leave
  • Excellent knowledge of ramp, cargo, and GSE
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated customer relationship skills, effective communication with all levels of employees
  • Strong finance and accounting experience and background
  • Solid problem solving, multi‑tasking abilities, and experience handling flight operations
  • Computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Valid state driver’s license and required FAA/airport identifications and seals
  • Must pass pre‑employment physical and drug test
