About the Connecticut Airport Authority:

The Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA) was established in 2011 to develop, improve, and operate Bradley International Airport and the state’s five general aviation airports (Danielson, Groton-New London, Hartford-Brainard, Waterbury-Oxford, and Windham). The CAA Board consists of 11 members with a broad spectrum of experience in aviation-related and other industries, as well as government. The goal of the CAA is to make Connecticut’s airports more attractive to new airlines, bring in new routes, and support Connecticut’s overall economic development and growth strategy.

CAA Administrative offices are located at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, CT

SUMMARY: As a member of the Connecticut Airport Authority’s Customer Experience and Terminal Services team, the Terminal Services Coordinator assists with the direction of terminal operations at Bradley International Airport. These activities include but are not limited to the inspection of the Airport terminal and property, monitoring passenger activity, and coordinating and organizing all functions and responsibilities associated with terminal operations.

Works on an interdepartmental basis with managers and staff to assist in the achievement of established organizational goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assists and coordinates the day-to-day terminal operational activities at Bradley International Airport.
  • Perform inspections of business partner operations to ensure compliance with contractual and operational requirements.
  • Assists with passenger flow and queue management associated with the security checkpoint operation.
  • Develop and nurture positive working relationships across all business partners and maintain effective communication.
  • Responsible for providing customer service excellence through daily operational monitoring and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate and actively engage in customer-facing events.
  • Assists with the coordination and responsibilities associated with the CAA’s Title VI Program, ADA Program, and ACDBE Program.
  • Assists with the coordination and responsibilities of the BDL Art and Music programs.
  • Ensures preparedness of airport to respond to emergency situations.
  • Assist in monitoring passenger activity, general appearance, cleanliness, and functionality of airport facilities.
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets and correspondence related to terminal operations and customer service.
  • Recommend and undertake initiatives for operational and customer service improvements and efficiencies.
  • Support and facilitate third party contractors and service providers.
  • Performs related duties as may be required to successfully foster the activities of the CAA and to contribute to its overall success.

  • Considerable interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with and coordinate with airport partners including airlines, consultants and contractors, tenants, lessees, businesses, state, federal, regional and local official and other departments within the CAA.

  • Considerable planning and project managements skills.
  • Considerable knowledge of and ability to apply management principles and techniques.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to work well with others.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.
