Warehouse Porter​/Custodian - 2nd Shift

Position Overview

Porters work as part of a team to reserve a clean and tidy environment throughout our facilities. These critical roles help support our prideful work environment and the delivery of high‑quality product to our customers.

• Earn $19.00 per hour
• Shift – 2nd
• Hours – 6:30 PM to 5:00 AM
• Days – TBD
• Location – 500 North Street, Windsor Locks, CT 06096

• Providing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment by acting as a custodian/janitor
• Performing janitorial duties such as cleaning the entire warehouse, including office space, employee break areas, windows and restrooms
• Maintaining good housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors
• Occasionally pulling product out of pick slots using an electric pallet jack to clean with a scrubber and returning product
• Tending to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc.
• Collecting plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes to be disposed of properly
• Following all material‑handling equipment safe operating procedures
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
• Having the ability and willingness to follow all material‑handling equipment safe operating procedures

• Continually standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift
• Walking on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.
• Frequently lifting product weighing between 1–60 lbs. or more
• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead
• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height
• Safe handling of sharp objects including box‑cutting tools
