Overview
Parts Authority, LLC is an automotive parts distributor with locations across the United States. We are seeking a Warehouse Equipment Operator in Windsor Locks, CT. This full‑time role involves operating power industrial equipment to move, load, and manage warehouse inventory. Compensation: $19.50 per hour, schedule 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm.
Responsibilities- Use power industrial equipment to load and unload, move or stack materials and products.
- Operate manual or electric carts to fill orders.
- Scan, count items from the receiving area, and load onto cart.
- Stock items appropriately by location and quantity.
- Receive merchandise from vendors or other stores and place in the correct warehouse location.
- Check off merchandise as received.
- Correct inventory count discrepancies.
- Assist in pulling parts during busy times.
- Work with stock manager to resolve order problems.
- Perform miscellaneous projects and other related duties as assigned.
- 1‑2 years experience operating power industrial equipment.
- Accurately follow written and verbal directions.
- Understanding of warehouse map locations and sorting by alpha or numeric.
- Maintain individual productivity and quality standards according to department requirements.
- Focus and remain on task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, and/move objects 10‑50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, sit, and climb ladders or stairs as needed.
- Must be able to work well under pressure and with other staff members and supervisors.
- Open availability, flexible and able to work various shifts and overtime.
- Warehouse experience preferred.
- Familiarity with safety measures and ability to promote workplace safety.
- Ability to secure and transfer cash or other assets.
