Doher & Co. Chartered Accountants is a local firm of Chartered Qualified Accountants located in Windsor, Ontario.

We provide audit, accounting and tax services, as well as a variety of business advisory services to a wide range of clients in industries ranging from automotive to manufacturing to retail to professional services, such as doctors, lawyers and dentists. We also provide services to the non‑for‑profit sector.

We require an enthusiastic individual who is willing to work in a dynamic environment to fulfill a full‑time position.

Responsibilities
  • Provide management and leadership to team members on assurance and non‑assurance engagements
  • Provide detailed review of audit, review and compilation working paper files to ensure compliance with professional and firm standards
  • Preparation of financial statements and tax returns on a timely basis that meet professional and firm standards
  • Performing audit and assurance engagements as required
  • Manage budgets on all engagements
  • Communication directly with clients and with partners and other professional staff
  • Preparation of client billings for review by the managing partner
  • Mentoring of junior staff members
  • Develop new business opportunities with existing client and recent clients
Qualifications
  • A current CPA designation with a minimum of six years of public accounting experience
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Robust leadership and mentoring skills
  • Experience in managing a team
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Caseware, Caseview, Simply Accounting, Quickbooks and Taxprep software
  • Business development skills is an asset
  • Preferred: 4 years of accounting experience
