Overviewdriveline system development and validation focuses on the integration of the driveline system into a vehicle architecture, ensuring the functional performance required for the vehicle to meet its designated mission.
Responsibilities- Onsite technical support at ARDC, Windsor for HIL / DIL development, commissioning, and testing.
- Establish a cross‑functional team involved in the design and validation of the components and subsystems comprising the driveline.
- Create the development and validation plan.
- Perform Driver‑in‑Loop (DIL) and Hardware‑in‑Loop (HIL) validation.
- Develop feasibility assessments and implementation plans, including schedules for converting activities from vehicle to virtual for each development activity or test.
- Troubleshoot HIL and DIL test setups.
- Implement HIL and DIL integration.
- Model development consistent with Stellantis Framework.
- Procure material such as controllers, connectors, terminals, cables, and harnesses.
- Conduct test property basic functional check‑outs, Control Desk function check‑outs, and commissioning reports (Release notes).
- Review and analyze vehicle system documentation to capture overall testing and timing requirements.
- Handle HIL simulation open‑loop commissioning (IO checkout, PC setup, etc.) and closed‑loop commissioning (HILs, ECU, load devices, FIU, etc.).
- Interface effectively with other team members, both internal and external.
- Preference will be given to Canadian citizens.
- Good knowledge and experience with propulsion systems, including ICE, Hybrid/BEV/PHEV.
- Plant model development using MATLAB/Simulink.
- Experience with dSPACE hardware/software and tools.
- Knowledge of automotive vehicle networks and protocols (CAN, LIN & Ethernet) and related diagnostic/communication tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, etc.) with associated documentation (DBC, LDFs, ARXMLs, vehicle architecture definitions).
- Use of instrumentation mentioned in this document and other basic instrumentation / equipment.
- Knowledge of vehicle ECUs and interaction/interface among them.
- Experience with tools such as INCA, Control Desk, Configuration Desk, Vector, etc.
- Ability to read electrical diagrams and schematics.
- Measurement and analysis tools (oscilloscope, protocol analyzer, etc.).
- Familiarity with automotive processes/tools such as System FMEA, DVP&R, or equivalent quality and reliability tools.
- Knowledge of electrification vehicle-level systems.
BSEE, or BS in Computer Engineering.
Benefits and CompensationThe pay range is $28.08/hour to $53.88/hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
