Applications Specialist – Factory Automation, Motion and Drives

We have twenty-one branches in Ontario and Quebec, representing many quality manufacturers and offering products and solutions for industrial, commercial, residential, and utility markets. This role focuses on Factory Automation, Motion Control systems and mechanical components including HMI’s and non-safe PLC’s, servo control systems, variable speed drives, motors, gear motors, gearboxes, actuators, and collaborative robots.
We are seeking a highly motivated self‑starter to fill the Applications Specialist role at either our London or Kitchener branch. The Specialist will develop and support sales activities using specialized electro‑mechanical technical knowledge, applications strengths, and market awareness. The position works with Sales Representatives and Business Developers to support these key products and contribute to sales strategies to meet targets.
The Applications Specialist provides application support, assists with quotations, and delivers training to both our customer base and our sales team.
Qualifications- Prior experience selling and applying SCADA, HMI, PLC, motion, and drives products.
- Experience with Siemens Simatic PLC’s on the TIA and Step7 Classic platform, general‑purpose drives, motion products, and mechanical systems knowledge.
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree, Engineering certification, or equivalent with a minimum of three to five years of related experience and/or training.
- Strong technical and organizational aptitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and a customer‑service focus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; fluent in English.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
- Valid driver’s license and own a car.
