Position: Temporary Water Project Review Officer (Windsor)

ENWIN Utilities Ltd. is currently accepting applications for the vacant position of Temporary Water Project Review Officer (Temporary Contract) located in Windsor, ON (Hybrid). The role reports to the Manager, Metering Operations and supports the company by ensuring water system work complies with corporate standards, municipal by‑laws, and regulatory requirements, while contributing to the review, approval, and oversight of water distribution infrastructure to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient distribution of water.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate with contractors, owners, and consultants on proper procedures and permit requirements.
  • Recommend and enforce compliance with ENWIN Utilities Ltd. standards.
  • Coordinate with the City of Windsor on water permits and inspection procedures.
  • Administer water‑related by‑laws as they pertain to the operation of the system.
  • Administer the Backflow Prevention and Cross‑Connection Control programs, manage the Backflow By‑Law website, approve backflow testers, review installations, manage tester results, and follow up with appropriate parties to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and generate reports for analysis and statistical information.
Qualifications
  • College diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, with a Certificate in Water Main Design and a Municipal Law Enforcement Certificate.
  • More than 3 years of similar or related experience.
  • Proficient in using Auto Cad and Microsoft suite of products.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of National Standards of Canada, specifically CSA B64.10 (Selection and Installation of Backflow Preventors).
  • Knowledge of construction and design of Water Distribution Systems, including hydraulics and application to Water Distribution Systems.
  • Knowledge of MECP Guidelines, WUC/AWWA/NFPA standards.
  • Experience and knowledge in the field of Municipal construction.
  • Valid Class G Ontario Driver's License.

Salary Range for Qualified Candidates: $94,717 – $105,241.
