Studio engineer; Windsor

Studio Engineer / Vehicle Packaging Engineer supporting automotive design studios and Product Design Office (PDO) activities.

• Manage vehicle packaging criteria and bogey models to support Conceptual Digital Data (CDD) surface development.
• Support Product Design Office (PDO) activities including clay model development, mock‑ups, spaciousness evaluations, and theme development.
• Coordinate fabrication and modeling teams for design validation activities.
• Provide milling and SLA data for clay models, aerodynamic studies, and rapid prototype parts.
• Lead weekly working‑level meetings and coordinate cross‑functional teams.
• Collaborate with ASME, AME, Vehicle Integration (VI), HMI, Safety, and BCIW teams to ensure design feasibility.
• Complete Construction Sections and manage approval processes supporting CDD Style Freeze releases, including Gap & Flush validation.
• Challenge engineering constraints to maintain design intent and aesthetic objectives.
• Verify CDD studies and production releases comply with vehicle hard points, packaging, tooling, and design requirements.
• Support weekly PDO Exterior Coordination meetings and design reviews.
• Ensure Series Card Program of Record (POR) content aligns with approved design themes and is captured in CST loops and Visualization BOMs.
• Escalate issues when design intent and engineering requirements are not aligned.
• Conduct competitive benchmarking and analyze industry design trends.

• Automotive vehicle packaging and studio engineering experience.
• Solid understanding of Conceptual Digital Data (CDD) development.
• Experience supporting clay modeling, prototype builds, and design validation.
• Knowledge of vehicle integration, Gap & Flush, tooling, hard points, and manufacturing feasibility.
• Cross‑functional coordination and project management skills.
• Familiarity with CAD data management, milling processes, and rapid prototyping (SLA).
• Strong communication and presentation skills for design reviews and executive meetings.
• Understanding of automotive design, aesthetics, and competitive benchmarking.
