Position Overview
H2M architects + engineers, a multidisciplinary architectural, engineering, and environmental consulting firm, seeks a licensed Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic MEP team in our Headquarters Office in Windsor, CT. This position focuses on the design of HVAC systems for small and large projects, including industrial buildings, schools, firehouses, and commercial buildings.
Job Responsibilities- Project supervision and coordination with other engineering and architecture departments within the firm.
- Preparation of construction drawings and specifications for public and private bidding.
- Relationship building and communication directly with clients in support and coordination of all project activities.
- Technical leadership, production and scheduling, quality control and cost proposals.
- Responsible for the on-time, on-budget and high-quality technical delivery of all project requirements.
- Business development initiatives related to acquiring new clients.
- Management of junior level staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum 8+ years of HVAC design experience with at least 5 years of project management experience in a consulting environment.
- Experience with municipalities and government agencies is a plus.
- Strong technical leadership and management skills.
- Ability to mentor junior level staff.
- Strong client relationship building skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary range: $100,000 - $140,000 annually. The employment offer may deviate from the published range based on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, knowledge, education, geography, and certifications. The salary or hourly rate indicated does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
