Procurement and logistic Manager
Full‑time and permanent position under the management of the Plant Director. This role is responsible for the supply of raw materials to ensure the manufacturing of doors and the management of the transport of raw materials and finished products.
Responsibilities- Procurement – Manage a centralized procurement process; directly supervise the purchasing team; determine stock quantities; plan truck/container loadings and monitor logistics of raw materials until delivery; ensure material requests match production volume; negotiate with new suppliers; provide alternative plans or substitutions for shortages or priority changes; support total cost of ownership through the use of national and international agreements.
- Supplier Relationship Management – Oversee supplier relationships on inventory issues; maintain active dialogue with operations to identify opportunities and risks; lead meetings to rationalize SKUs; develop a monthly inventory evaluation process based on sales; collaborate with Sales and Operations Management to align demand, supply and inventory plans with capabilities, budget and inventory goals.
- Logistics – Manage the logistics process of transporting raw materials and finished products; indirectly supervise the logistics team (reception and shipping); determine transport methods; manage documentary aspects of imports; provide alternative plans for transportation issues; maintain good relations with carriers.
- Compliance – Ensure all processes comply with SOX and with internal rules and standards of Masonite and other corporate departments.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in supply chain management in a manufacturing setting.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in logistics management in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Health & Safety management in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in people management under responsibility.
- Knowledge of construction materials (asset).
- Experience in national and international buying processes.
- Excellent customer service, structure and priority management.
- Great knowledge of the office suite.
- Knowledge of different SAP systems for inventory management.
- Good communication skills, written and verbal.
- Bilingual in French and English; knowledge of Spanish is an asset.
