CNC Boring Mill Operator
Location: Windsor, ON
Pay: $25.00–$28.00 per hour
Hours: 40–55 per week

Job SummaryThe CNC Boring Mill Operator sets up, operates, and maintains a CNC horizontal boring mill to machine precision steel components and plates according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC horizontal boring mills to machine steel plates, blocks, and components to precise tolerances
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements
- Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials
- Perform offset adjustments, tool changes, and program edits as needed
- Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments
- Verify dimensions and surface finishes meet specifications and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safe operation of equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and report any mechanical issues to supervision
- Collaborate with supervisors, quality inspectors, and other operators to meet production goals and maintain accuracy
- Record production data and complete necessary documentation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Problem‑solving and creative thinking in machining applications
- Organized, efficient, and detail‑oriented
- Reliable, punctual, and safety‑focused
- Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience operating and programming CNC boring mills or large CNC machining centers
- Experience in 2D machining
- Proficient in Fusion 360
- Strong understanding of machining processes, G‑codes, and setup procedures
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Experience with Heidenhain control
- Proficient with measuring tools and precision inspection techniques
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Ability to multitask efficiently
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
- Experience with large steel or heavy industrial parts
- Knowledge of manual machining operations
- Forklift or overhead crane certification
- Familiarity with tooling selection, feeds and speeds, and machining optimization

- 8–10 hour shifts, Monday to Friday (Days/Afternoons), weekends as needed
