Position: Mold Making Leader (Windsor)

Job Summary

A Mold Making leader in our tooling facility will oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Mold Making group, creating and maintaining a culture of health and safety, supervising Estimate to Actual budgets and financial performance, and overseeing quality in all aspects of the project. Provide people leadership to all team members in the organization through training.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to all team members in the organization through training, development, performance management, and discipline.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts across the multi‑faceted business.
  • Demonstrate teamwork, leadership and mentorship skills necessary for developing effective and productive teams and ensuring high employee morale.
  • Support both local tryouts and customer‑facility tryouts. Troubleshoot and repair plastic injection molds.
  • Be widely seen as trusted and operating with integrity.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the customer, the commodity, and the specific project.
  • Lead by example in all functions.
  • Other duties or tasks as assigned or required.
Job Qualifications
  • 10 years minimum mold‑making experience in a progressive, dynamic environment.
  • 3 years experience in leading plastic injection tool manufacturing is considered an asset.
  • Solid communication skills—able to speak to all levels of the team effectively.
  • Experience leading teams and driving continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
  • Project management experience considered an asset.
  • Experience assessing manufacturing processes and driving improvements.
  • Process oriented.
  • Time management skills.
  • Ability to train and develop employees.
  • Able to multitask efficiently.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Ability to delegate tasks appropriately.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Ability to take ownership and responsibility of the project.
  • Strong organizational skills.
