Position: Full-Time | Manufacturing | Corrugated Packaging
Salary: $30 – $38/hour (based on experience)
Shifts Available:
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
- Afternoon Shift: 3:45 PM – 12:15 AM, Monday to Friday
About the Company: Our client is a growing corrugated packaging manufacturer based in Windsor, Ontario. They specialize in delivering high-quality packaging solutions and continue to invest in skilled production talent to support increasing demand and expansion.
About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Lead Die Cutter Operator to join the production team. This is a hands‑on leadership role ideal for someone with strong die cutting experience in a corrugated packaging environment. You’ll take ownership of the machine, ensure production efficiency, maintain quality standards, and support the team on the floor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor rotary die cutting equipment (including 2‑colour printing)
- Review job tickets, layouts, and production specifications
- Install and adjust dies, plates, ink, and tooling
- Ensure accurate cutting, creasing, printing, stripping, and stacking
- Perform quality checks and ensure products meet customer specifications
- Troubleshoot machine issues, print defects, and material flow problems
- Support and guide machine crew during setups, changeovers, and production
- Maintain a clean, protected, and organized workspace
- Follow safety procedures including lockout/tagout
- Communicate downtime, quality concerns, and maintenance needs
- Assist with preventative maintenance
Requirements:
- 2–5 years of die cutting experience (corrugated packaging or similar)
- Experience with RDC, Ward, McKinley, or similar machines is a strong asset
- 2‑colour printing experience is an asset
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read work orders, specs, and measurements accurately
- Previous lead or senior operator experience is a plus
- Detail‑oriented with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Team player with the ability to work independently
- Open to day or afternoon shifts
