26-00896 - CNC Machinist (Heidenhain Controls - Required)
We are seeking experienced CNC Machinists with hands‑on experience operating and setting up CNC boring mills using Heidenhain controls. The successful candidate will be responsible for machining steel fabricated components to engineering specifications while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Set up and operate CNC boring mills with Heidenhain controls.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, verniers, and gauges.
- Load, evaluate, and run CNC programs while making program edits and adjustments as required.
- Work closely with the CAM department to implement program modifications.
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machining methods to ensure efficient production.
- Machine custom and production steel fabricated components to required specifications.
- Perform routine quality inspections and maintain accurate production records.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work setting.
- Minimum 1-3 year of CNC machining experience.
- Experience operating CNC boring mills.
- Hands‑on experience with Heidenhain controllers is required.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand machining tolerances.
- Basic understanding of GD&T.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment.
- Experience with cranes, slings, and hoists is considered an asset.
- General Machinist Apprenticeship or Trade Certification is an asset.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

- Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and make program adjustments.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Experience working with fabricated steel components and weldments.
