Salary: $105,000 per year
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to join our team in Windsor, Ontario. This is a day‑shift, temp‑to‑hire prospect offering a competitive salary of $105,000 annually. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing production performance, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage daily manufacturing and operational activities to meet production goals
- Oversee production scheduling, staffing, and workflow optimization
- Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost control
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Manage and mentor supervisors, team leads, and hourly employees
- Collaborate with cross‑functional departments including Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, HR, and Supply Chain
- Analyze operational data and prepare reports for senior leadership
- Support budget planning, labor management, and resource allocation
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve processes, and increase profitability
- Maintain a positive work environment focused on employee engagement and development
- Lead problem‑solving efforts and implement corrective actions as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong understanding of production processes, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing principles
- Proven experience managing teams and achieving operational goals
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with KPI tracking, budgeting, and performance management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- Automotive manufacturing experience is considered an asset
