A manufacturing operation is looking for an experienced Lathe Machinist to support precision production work. The role involves hands‑on machining, setup, and inspection of components in a shop environment where accuracy, consistency, and safety are essential. This position suits someone who works well independently, understands machining processes, and can maintain quality standards without constant supervision.

- Set up and operate CNC vertical lathe machines with live tooling in a machine shop workplace.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job instructions to ensure accurate production requirements are met
- Inspect finished parts to verify conformity to specifications and dimensional requirements
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other gauges to verify part accuracy
- Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to maintain quality output and meet tolerance standards
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with established procedures
- Follow all safety protocols and production standards at all times
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC and/or manual lathe machines in an industrial machining environment
- Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Live tooling experience required
- Ability to interpret 2D technical drawings and dimensional specifications
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control and tight tolerances
- Ability to work rotating shifts including days, afternoons, nights, and weekends as required
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
