Rebar Fabrication Associates

A locally owned concrete reinforcing steel contractor in Windsor is seeking full-time Rebar Fabrication Associates to join their fabrication yard. This role supports the fabrication and preparation of rebar used for construction projects, including cutting, bending, tying, and loading materials for job sites and customer orders.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate automated and manual equipment to shear, cut, and bend rebar to specifications
• Read and interpret fabrication tickets, shop drawings, and production sheets
• Identify correct rebar shapes, sizes, and quantities for each order
• Tie rebar together for cages, caissons, mats, and other assemblies
• Use forklifts to unload inbound freight and load finished products for shipment
• Assist with customer will-call orders and job site deliveries
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Perform routine machine maintenance and follow all safety procedures

Qualifications

• Experience with metal fabrication machinery preferred
• Ability to read tape measures and perform basic math
• Ability to understand shop drawings, fabrication tickets, and production sheets
• Able to lift, push, and pull heavy materials throughout the shift; up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable daily transportation required
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat and cold
• Willing and able to obtain forklift certification (training provided)
