The Role & Your Impact As a Quality Control Lab Technician – Human Health, you will support quality control processes in a GMP‑compliant dietary supplement manufacturing facility. Your work will directly contribute to product quality, food safety, and on‑time production while supporting regulatory compliance and internal  this role, you will:

Perform in‑house quality control testing on samples according to written SOPs, work instructions, and regulatory standards.

Conduct routine equipment calibrations and verifications (such as scales and pH meters) to ensure accurate testing results.

Follow and promote food safety and GMP requirements in alignment with FDA guidelines and internal certification standards.

Use aseptic techniques to maintain sterility of media, equipment, and laboratory work spaces.

Accurately record testing results, evaluations, and training in systems such as SAP and LIMS.Communicate testing nonconformances and observations to QC, QA, PMG, and Production teams.

Participate in internal safety and continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen, Lean, and 5S.Support training and onboarding of new team members in areas of demonstrated proficiency.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful To succeed in this role, you bring a strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety and quality, and the ability to follow structured processes in a regulated environment.

You must have:

The ability to read, understand, and follow SOPs, work instructions, and equipment manuals.

Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members, cross‑functional partners, and auditors.

Basic math skills and the ability to interpret numerical data, including metric measurements and temperatures in Celsius.

Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills to adapt in a dynamic production environment.

Experience operating laboratory and office equipment and performing basic dilution series.

The ability to accurately interpret testing results and take appropriate action in accordance with SOPs.A working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and compliance standards.

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).A Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field or a minimum of three years of full‑time experience in a laboratory environment.

Additional Skills & Interests We Value While not required, the following are considered a plus:

Experience working in a GMP‑regulated food, dietary supplement, or pharmaceutical environment.

Familiarity with SAP, LIMS, or similar laboratory information systems.

Interest in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Kaizen, or 5S.A collaborative mindset and willingness to support teammates across functions.

Ways of Working / Working Conditions This is an on‑site role based in Madison, Wisconsin, until January 2027, after which the position will transition to West Allis, Wisconsin. Willingness to train and work in Madison and transition to West Allis is ideal.

Standard shift is 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Weekend and holiday work may be required based on production needs.

Work is performed in a laboratory and manufacturing environment requiring adherence to hygiene, safety, and GMP standards.

The role involves standing, routine lab work, and handling samples and equipment in accordance with safety procedures.
