Technical Inside Sales Manager
Full-time. Compensation: USD 110,000 - USD 150,000 per year.
Stäubli is a global industrial and mechatronic solution provider with four dedicated divisions:
Electrical Connectors, Fluid Connectors, Robotics, and Textile. This role is based in Windsor, California.
The Technical Inside Sales Manager drives customer engagement, supports Field Sales and Customer Service, and strengthens the sales process. Key responsibilities include new customer acquisition, high‑value opportunity management, CRM data management, and cross‑functional collaboration within Stäubli’s electrical connector markets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Directly manage the quoting department and S&OP.
- Collaborate with Local Director, Head of Sales, and Legal & Compliance to process, create, revise, or negotiate business contracts.
- Assist with urgent inquiries such as quotations, delivery improvement, and other time‑sensitive actions.
- Maintain and ensure accuracy of CRM data within timeline requirements.
- Follow up on strategic web, print, and marketing‑generated leads with field sales to qualify and advance opportunities.
- Support quoting activities and develop strategy for high‑value opportunities.
- Contribute to sales strategy development and execution across assigned markets.
- Provide first‑level technical support for select customer requests and coordinate with engineering and field sales for advanced inquiries.
- Engage customers onsite, including company tours, presentations, and events.
- Manage customer satisfaction and develop proactive improvement measures.
- Create and maintain internal sales procedures and best practices.
- Collaborate with marketing to align sales messaging, campaigns, and lead generation activities.
- Assist with sales forecasting and contribute to monthly and quarterly reporting.
- Prepare presentations for senior management and strategic reviews.
- Maintain awareness of competitors, market trends, and new product developments.
- Lead or contribute to special projects when gaps in support exist.
- Collaborate with Field Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, Operations, and Management on special project requests.
- Support new employee training.
- Product expert in all product groups.
- Strong knowledge of industrial applications and settings.
- Excellent sales process techniques and clear understanding of lead generation, nurturing, and transfer.
- Clear knowledge of sales cycles and strategy adaptation.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to conduct independent research via web, colleagues, and customers.
- Highly organized and able to optimize or develop new processes.
- Team player, self‑starter, capable of working under limited supervision.
- Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills to resolve customer issues.
A college degree in business administration or engineering is required.
5+ years of industrial (B2B) selling experience required.
2+ years in a leadership, team lead or direct management role.
P&L familiarity is a plus.
Must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass a background check for defense contractors.
TravelMinimal travel within the U.S. or Mexico.
