Account Representative - Outside Sales Representative
The Account/Outside Sales Representative is responsible for managing an assigned account base and will serve as the key contact and focal point for all activities at those accounts, including developing and maintaining a business plan. The representative will maximize account potential growth by coordinating resources within Electrozad and its business partners, and will demonstrate behaviour consistent with the company’s core values and strategic plan.
MajorResponsibilities
- Scheduling appointments and visiting existing customers to review product needs and identify additional opportunities.
- Organizing and attending joint sales calls with vendors.
- Opening new accounts.
- Continuously updating customers on product changes and modifications.
- Providing solutions to customers’ problems.
- Attending trade shows and conferences (if applicable).
- Introducing new product releases.
- Liaising between customers and the company for up‑to‑date status on service, pricing, and new product launches.
- Preparing reports for marketing and sales and maintaining expense accounts.
- Performing maintenance and updating customers’ accounts, including contact names for future sales.
- Keeping up to date on new products, services, procedures, and tools by attending training and departmental meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Post‑secondary education from a technical program (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical discipline) or equivalent.
- 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in the electrical wholesale/industrial automation industry.
- A proven track record in sales.
- Business development experience.
- Experience working with CRM software.
- Strategic mindset with solid presentation, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
- Strong technical knowledge and solid understanding of the contractor, industrial, and OEM markets.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Reasonable computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
