The Opportunity:

Our client, part of the greenhouse horticulture sector, is looking for a customer-driven Account Manager to join their team in Kingsville, Ontario . Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Account Manager is responsible for managing and expanding an assigned portfolio of greenhouse customers by building trusted relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering integrated commercial and agronomic solutions. The role supports revenue, margin, and profitability objectives while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:
  • Developing, executing, and maintaining strategic regional and account plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date CRM records, including customer activity, opportunities, and performance insights.
  • Applying a consultative, customer‑oriented sales approach to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the territory, including prospecting and onboarding new customers.
  • Conducting in‑depth sales conversations to uncover customer needs and translate them into actionable solutions.
  • Monitoring territory performance and adjusting strategies based on results and market conditions.
  • Working closely with Agronomy Specialists and internal teams to align products and services with customer needs.
  • Supporting and communicating fertility and pest‑management programs under the guidance of the Agronomy Manager.
  • Providing professional recommendations that improve crop health, productivity, and grower confidence.
  • Building and maintaining strong product and market knowledge across greenhouse horticulture inputs and solutions.
  • Staying informed on emerging technologies, market trends, and innovative practices to proactively support customer success.
The Ideal Candidate :
  • Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or other relevant fields.
  • 5 – 7+ years of progressive sales experience, preferably within greenhouse horticulture or agriculture.
  • Strong understanding of agricultural products, markets, and customer operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong digital literacy, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Customer‑focused mindset with strong negotiation skills.
  • Analytical and results‑driven, with the ability to evaluate performance and adapt strategies accordingly.
