Finance Specialist

We are seeking a  Finance Specialist  to support financial planning, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational analysis within a fast‑paced automotive manufacturing environment near  Tecumseh, ON .

Pay: $90K

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and variance analyses.

Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and long‑range financial plans.

Analyze manufacturing costs, labor efficiency, material usage, scrap, and overhead expenses.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable recommendations.

Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Perform inventory analysis and ensure accurate costing of products.

Assist with capital expenditure (CAPEX) planning and ROI analysis.

Partner with production, purchasing, and supply chain teams to improve profitability.

Identify cost reduction opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, and accounting standards.

Support audits and provide financial data as required.

Prepare ad‑hoc financial models and business case analyses for management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.

Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is considered a strong asset.

5+ years of financial analysis experience, preferably within automotive or manufacturing environments.

Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, and manufacturing finance.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.).

Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
