Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and manage the daily HR operations and provide guidance to HR team members across Canada and the U.S.
Act as the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries, employee relations issues, and workplace investigations.
Ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. employment laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Partner with the Health & Safety Manager to support compliance needs, employee requirements, training initiatives, and reporting obligations.
Support recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring consistent practices and positive employee experiences.
Administer and monitor the performance appraisal system, supporting managers with performance issues, counseling, and improvement plans.
Implement and support employee engagement and retention initiatives, partnering with leaders to promote a positive workplace culture.
Provide coaching and guidance to HR team members, ensuring consistent application of HR policies and practices.
Support internal and external HR-related audits, ensuring timely responses and proper documentation.
Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks in alignment with company values and compliance standards.
Collaborate with Payroll and Finance on HR operational processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Manage HR data, reporting, and analytics, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and data-driven insights.
Support the execution of HR programs such as onboarding, offboarding, compliance training, and performance reviews.
Support DEI initiatives and ensure HR practices are applied consistently and equitably across the organization.
Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity in handling sensitive employee and company information.

Requirements and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field (required).
Minimum of five (5) years of Human Resources Management or related experience (required).
Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. employment laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
Proven experience managing workplace investigations, employee relations, and performance management processes.
Strong Knowledge of Health & Safety compliance requirements and employee support needs.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
Strong leadership abilities with experience managing HR teams across multiple locations.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency with HRIS systems, reporting, and data management.
Proficiency in MS Office, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) (required).
