Health and Wellness Manager – Senior Living  Cogir Senior Living manages retirement residences across the country. Hired to oversee and manage the clinical program, the Health and Wellness Manager is a values‑driven leader who delivers best‑in‑class care, inspires the team, and ensures resident and employee safety.
Responsibilities   Work closely with the Executive Director, regional clinical team, and departmental managers to maximize resident satisfaction and create a positive living experience.
Cultivate strong relationships with residents, family members, employees, managers, regional support teams, and agencies.
Participate in care conferences, conduct resident assessments, develop individualized service plans, and ensure ongoing quality of care.
Adhere to all relevant organizational, provincial and federal acts and regulations, ensuring legal and ethical compliance in all aspects of resident care.
Hire, train and develop a high‑performing clinical team, providing coaching, mentoring and continuous training.
Monitor department expenses, ensuring all care and labor services are billed appropriately while maintaining a balanced budget.

Required experience:

Registered as a Registered Practical Nurse, Registered Psychiatric Nurse, or Licensed Practical Nurse with the applicable provincial regulatory body and competency within scope of practice.
Minimum of five (5) years relevant clinical experience and one (1) year of leadership experience, preferably in a retirement residence.
Experience managing a multidisciplinary team in a unionized environment.
Experience mentoring, training, and developing nursing staff and facilitating ongoing education.
Experience recruiting and building a strong clinical team that delivers personalized support, performs resident assessments, and develops care plans.
Understanding of budgets and financials to monitor department expenses and bill services appropriately.
Up‑to‑date knowledge of regulations, acts, program standards, and provincial legislation.
Must provide a complete and current Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) within the last six months or be willing to obtain one.
