Pollution Control Plant Manager

This position requires expertise in managing the daily operations of the wastewater treatment plant. You will ensure safety compliance, staff supervision, and effective budget management while keeping high standards for effluent quality. Strengthen public relations and contribute to the city's health and safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the treatment facility
• Ensure compliance with Federal and Provincial effluent standards
• Supervise training, performance evaluations, and staff discipline
• Coordinate necessary maintenance activities for the treatment plant
• Oversee the development and management of the service area budget
Requirements:
• Three-year post-secondary diploma in Science or Engineering Technology
• Minimum ten years’ related municipal experience in wastewater
• Class IV Wastewater Treatment Certification (to be acquired)
• Valid Class ‘G’ Driver's License and driving abstract
• Experienced in budget control and contract administration
