Job Description
In collaboration with the HDGH Senior Team, the Executive Director of the HDGH Foundation (HDGHF) provides strategic organizational and administrative leadership within the policy frameworks of the organization. The incumbent will link a variety of programs and community partners in an agenda of quality, access, system transformation and service improvement. This role is a key success factor in the strategic priority of the Identity Driver and will establish and maintain a positive identity for HDGH.

Responsibilities

Identify and explore opportunities for partnership and collaborative working arrangements to support overall organizational change towards sustaining a patient/family centered care environment.

Establish an annual operating budget based on program priorities in collaboration with appropriate members of the team.

Plan programs and revise existing programs in collaboration with program staff and the management team.

Provide leadership and oversight of all Foundation Fundraising activities and Signature Events; oversee all donor relations; manage all third‑party fundraising partnerships; develop annual strategic goals and objectives.

Report to and be accountable to the HDGHF Board of Directors with direct reporting responsibilities to the Board and all associated Board Committees; provide board reports, committee reports, annual reports, fundraising objectives, preparation and submission of the annual operating budgets; adhere to Canada Revenue Agency Fundraising Guidelines and oversee all Foundation Employees.

Demonstrated ability to evaluate, conduct analysis, collaborate and negotiate.

Specialized skills in project management, complex problem solving, leadership and change management.

Professional and effective written and verbal communication skills.

Creative and innovative thinking.

Advanced presentation development and facilitation skills.

Ability to work productively in a fast‑paced environment and manage a multi‑faceted workload under strict deadlines.

Ability to act with sensitivity and discretion while working with highly confidential information.

Education and/or Certification
Masters Degree of Public Administration or Business – Required
