JOB DESCRIPTION

Compensation $57,100 - $107,200

Role

The Regional Slotting Manager is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of all slotting activities within the distribution centre. Reporting to the Vice President, Operations, the Slotting Manager will play a pivotal role in optimizing warehouse efficiency and maximizing operational performance.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic slotting plans to optimize product placement across 5 distribution centres within the Ontario region, considering factors such as size, quantity, weight, temperature requirements, and product velocity.
  • Oversee the slotting of all new listings, special order, and demand products, ensuring they are accurately placed based on specified criteria and operational requirements.
  • Evaluate and reduce warehouse travel
  • Collaborate with Merchandising and Receiving departments to ensure Ti-Hi changes are flagged and updated.
  • Collaborate with Inventory Control and Warehouse Operations to identify gaps in processes and resolve issues.
  • Analyze slotting reports and slotting data from the five sites to identify opportunities for improvement, reduction of letdowns, and enhancement of slotting processes, and follow up with operations leaders on improvement opportunities.
  • Lead the Slotting Committee and facilitate engagement amongst the team members to gather feedback, address concerns, and elevate issues to operational leaders as needed.
  • Spend time on the outbound shifts to follow up on specific actions and give retro action to outbound crew.
  • Collaborate with National Warehouse Optimization Manager on National/Global initiative.
  • Identify Health & Safety issues through observations and interventions with inbound/outbound crews, and follow up with operational lead and/or EHS lead.
  • Complies with Sysco's Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
  • Understands that their role is critical in creating a safe organization with minimal environmental impact and the value that brings to the organization.
  • Is willing to drive Environmental, Health and Safety performance by acting as an example and holding their team accountable to complying with EHS programs, policies and requirements.
  • Enable, champion and embrace an inclusive culture
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a distribution/warehouse facility, with a focus on slotting, analysis, and optimization.
  • College diploma or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Preferred experience with warehouse management system (SWMS) and IDS
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle may be required as there may be travel up to 25%
