Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing overall management for every aspect of the design, development and implementation of major corporate–wide program initiatives, including supervising and directing work effort of all resources (internal and vendor) assigned to the program;
- Defining the requirements and approach to meet organizational goals which is comprised of multiple inter-dependent work streams spanning software elements, new and changed business processes, changes to organizational structure and capabilities;
- Initiating and promoting cross functional working relationships with project sponsors, senior management, vendor and key clients within the Corporation;
- Providing mentorship, developing leadership strength, and acting as an information resource for the project;
- Negoting resources and obtaining financial, physical, or human resources to support projects or programs;
- Establishing program schedule and integrating development of best practices, project standards, procedures, and quality objectives;
- Conducting reviews of the project’s status and associated staff;
- Managing vendors including coordinating vendor activities;
- Overseeing the development of Contracts, Service Level Agreements and the evaluation, selection and procurement of products and/or services from vendors;
- Establishing and reviewing project plans, schedules, and staffing requirements;
- Managing and directing project team and removing roadblocks which may inhibit project success;
- Identifying and mitigating project risks and issues;
- Preparing Council reports and presenting to council and/or senior management;
- Performing Occupational Health & Safety duties as outlined in the Corporation’s Health and Safety Program;
- Performing other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Must have a Post Graduate Degree in Information Technology or Business or Ontario Ministry of Education equivalency and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in Project Management, Leadership and Planning skills;
- OR Must have a University Degree in Information Technology or Business or Ontario Ministry of Education equivalency and a minimum of four (4) years of experience in Project Management, Leadership and Planning skills;
- OR Must have a College Diploma in Information Technology or Business or Ontario Ministry of Education equivalency and a minimum of six (6) years of experience in Project Management, Leadership and Planning skills;
- OR Must have an Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma plus one year of post secondary school courses in Information Technology or Business or Ontario Ministry of Education equivalency and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Project Management, Leadership and Planning skills;
