Are you a seasoned leader with a strong background in business administration and customs brokerage? We are currently seeking a dedicated Customs Compliance & Consulting Manager for a permanent, full-time position located in Windsor, ON. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the Compliance Consulting division within the Customs Processing Centre, ensuring that all cross-border shipping and business activities adhere strictly to federal and international regulatory laws.

Your expertise in business administration will be essential as you guide your team, optimize daily workflows, and provide unparalleled support to customers on all import and export regulations. This role demands an individual who can balance high-level strategic planning with the meticulous attention to detail required in customs and trade operations.

Working closely with the Director of Customs Brokerage, you will manage a team of compliance professionals, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner. The successful candidate will leverage their background in business administration to oversee staff functions, drive departmental goals, and cultivate a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. You will also act as the primary point of contact for complex customer inquiries regarding customs rules, Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) requirements, and various trade agreements.

By maintaining a proactive approach to regulatory changes and CITT opportunities, you will protect the business from risk while identifying new consulting opportunities to grow the client base. Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and manage the Compliance team members to successfully achieve departmental goals

• Oversee all daily functions of the staff to ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with international and federal regulatory laws

• Handle human resources duties for the team, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, development, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions or terminations in accordance with company guidelines

• Distribute and monitor staff workloads efficiently, making necessary adjustments to maintain productivity

• Resolve customer issues promptly and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction

• Develop and manage commodity databases for new and existing clients

• Ensure strict compliance with Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and Other Government Department (OGD) requirements

• Oversee the preparation and processing of refunds, amends, and drawbacks

• Stay current on customs requirements, CITT opportunities, and changes in import/export regulations
