Position: Journeyperson PLT for Valard Construction
Valard Construction is hiring a Journeyperson Powerline Technician (PLT) for distribution projects in Windsor/Tilbury, ON. This essential role focuses on both safety and technical skills in powerline construction.

In this position, you will report to the Construction Foreman and engage in building overhead and underground electrical distribution systems. Your commitment to safety and technical expertise is crucial for our operation's success and for mentoring apprentices in advanced procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Erect poles and maintain electrical structures

• Install overhead/underground power lines and equipment

• Perform advanced live line procedures and cable testing

• Lead job hazard assessments and ensure compliance

• Document daily activities and safety inspections

Requirements:

• Journeyperson Powerline Technician certification required

• Hands-on experience in electrical construction

• Valid Driver's Licence, preferably Commercial

• Capability in energized work and system switching

• Additional certifications in safety preferred
