Title: Maintenance Technician II (Afternoons 5pm – 2am)
Reports to: Warehouse Manager at Mucci Pac Ltd.
Based at: Kingsville, Ontario
Type of Employment: Full time, permanent Afternoon shift, (5pm – 2am), 5-6 days a week, and potentially extended hours depending on workload and priorities, which may include Sunday and Holiday shifts.

Job Description: As the Maintenance Technician II, you’ll ensure all work is carried out in a safe and orderly manner. You comply with safety protocols and documentation related to health and food safety. You will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated material handling and packhouse, greenhouse, and other facility equipment. You will use preventive and predictive maintenance processes to rapidly troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and quickly restore equipment to service to support the successful operation of the facility.
You will work with other technicians to solve problems, validate quality of work, optimize material handling equipment, software, and systems. You will collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager and other technicians to perform Root Cause Analysis for equipment failures. You may also assist in training other maintenance technicians and technician trainees to enhance their technical skills and job knowledge.
The successful candidate must be a self‑motivated team player with good communication skills and would be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Must adhere to our company policy and procedures requiring Health and Safety
- Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, conveyor systems, industrial fans, greenhouse facilities, production equipment, and general facility maintenance
- Ability to properly document Work Orders with appropriate data (labor hours, downtime, problem/cause/remedy, and parts used) using a preventative maintenance software
- Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, small hand tools, skyjacks, scissor lift, forklifts etc.
- Must understand basic electrical, plumbing, and pneumatic systems
- Willingness to develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization
- Must be able to prioritize based on urgency to support the business
- Follow appropriate safety procedures and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while maintaining equipment (Lock Out/Tag Out, etc.), and ensure a safe work environment by eliminating potential equipment safety hazards
- Assemble and install equipment, using hand tools and power tools
- Operate company vehicles to complete maintenance activities on the exterior of the facility and within the truck yard, as well as travel to nearby facilities and local stores to procure parts and supplies
- Performs all duties in compliance with plant rules and practices safety, conduct, sanitation, and good housekeeping
- Capable to work at heights from ladders, and scaffolding in a safe manner
- Must be able to work extended hours to support the business, this may include being on call
- Work efficiently and effectively with supervision in a team environment
- Completion of any other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Completion of High School or equivalent is required
- College Diploma or Apprenticeship in a technical field is preferred
- 3+ years of related experience is required
- Safety first mindset is mandatory
- Previous experience using preventative maintenance software is required
- Previous experience working on a variety of machinery, sealers, and equipment is required
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, (written and verbal) in English
- Ability to communicate in Spanish would be an asset
- Ability to multi‑task on different projects and change priorities based on company needs
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate any machinery breakdown, material concerns or shortages to maintenance, production supervisor or manager
Physical Abilities:
- Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs
