Reaume Chevrolet | Pay rate: $19-22 per hour
Reaume Chevrolet/Buick/GMC in LaSalle Ontario is looking for a Full-Time Express Lane Lube Technician. Ideal for a 2nd or 3rd year Apprentice.
Performs routine maintenance including oil changes to vehicles, installs basic and routine parts or accessories, tire rotations and brake inspections. Performs general department and equipment clean up duties on a consistent basis. Must have a valid driver’s license.
Shop Mechanical
Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Looks for and recommends other needed repairs and services – utilizing Class A Technician, Service Team Leader or Service Manager opinion if needed prior to presentation to Service Advisor.
Drains oil from crankcase and refills with required amount of oil.
Replaces oil and air filters.
Inspects vehicle fluid levels, replaces or replenishes as necessary.
Checks tire pressure and adds air if needed.
Lubricates moving parts with specified lubricants.
Completes visual inspections and checks off results on VRC (Vehicle Report Card).
Maintains company supplied tools and toolbox in good working order.
Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
Cleans special tools and equipment, performing minor repairs as applicable.
Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
Clearly documents on electronic repair orders complaint, cause and correction under the supervision of assigned technician or shop foreman.
Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by service manager.
Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
Keeps shop tool and machinery areas neat and clean.
Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as when they were received.
Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, provincial, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, Occupational Health & Safety, W.H.I.M.I.S., etc.
Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
Utilizes assistance of other technicians, apprentices, general laborers or management when moving disabled vehicles.
