At Transit Windsor, the Licensed Body Technician is pivotal in restoring vehicles to peak condition, reporting directly to the Supervisor of Fleet Maintenance. The role requires proficiency in various repair techniques, effective communication, and a commitment to safety regulations. You will work a regular full-time schedule, engaging in hands-on vehicle repairs while contributing to the community's overall functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Repair and restore motorized vehicles and equipment
• Estimate damages; prepare written and oral reports
• Utilize techniques such as welding, sanding, and grinding
• Paint vehicles with precision using spray guns
• Guide and instruct trainees in repair techniques
Requirements:
• Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent
• Current Certificate of Qualification 310B
• Valid Class G driver’s licence
• Knowledge of health and safety standards
• Ability to meet physical demands of the job
