Field Service Technician

Maintain mining equipment as a Metso Service Technician based in Sudbury, with preventive maintenance and frequent regional customer-site travel. Apply mechanical troubleshooting skills hands-on.

This Service Technician supports Metso’s Field Service Operations – Sudbury Service Center team. You will maintain, repair, inspect, install, commission, and upgrade crushing, screening, and other mining equipment. The work supports safe, reliable, and efficient equipment performance while serving customers across the region.

• Perform mechanical maintenance, repairs, and inspections on mining equipment
• Execute preventive maintenance and shutdown work safely
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend corrective actions
• Support installations, commissioning, and equipment upgrades
• Complete service reports, documentation, and work orders accurately

• Technical diploma, trade certificate, or equivalent mechanical experience
• Experience with mining, aggregates, or heavy industrial equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Safety-focused experience in industrial or mine-site environments
• Ability to travel and work irregular hours as required
