The City of Cornwall seeks a Subforeperson, Millwright to guide maintenance teams across municipal buildings and facilities. This working foreperson performs skilled trades work involving mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment components. The position coordinates repairs, inspections, preventative maintenance, and urgent troubleshooting while supporting safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead teams repairing, installing, and servicing municipal facility systems
- Perform hands-on millwright and skilled trades work
- Assign tasks and monitor maintenance progress
- Inspect facilities and prioritize required repairs
- Maintain tools, materials, equipment, and work records
- Industrial Mechanic Millwright Certificate of Qualification, Seal 433A
- Valid Ontario Class G drivers licence
- At least five years as a ticketed millwright journeyperson
- Facilities maintenance or skilled trades experience required
- Supervisory responsibilities and English communication skills
