Resident Heavy Equipment Technician

Toromont Cat seeks a Resident Field Service Technician, Heavy Equipment, for full-time permanent field service. The position uses a Toromont Service truck to support customers throughout Muskoka Region and surrounding areas. You will repair and maintain Caterpillar equipment while supporting safe, environmentally sound work behaviours.

• Diagnose mechanical problems using Caterpillar testing equipment
• Repair Caterpillar equipment within established field time standards
• Visit customer sites regularly throughout the Muskoka Region
• Maintain trusted customer relationships through excellent communication
• Support Toromont’s Health and Safety Culture

• Post-secondary education related to heavy equipment mechanics
• Minimum three years post-apprenticeship technician experience
• Experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment
• Valid driver’s license; DZ license preferred
• 421A license valued as an asset
