Permit Drafter

NOCO Accents is seeking a detailed, organized Permit Drafter to handle residential plan production and permit documentation. In this role, you will focus on turning project requirements into complete, code-compliant permit plan sets. You will play a key role behind the scenes—getting drafting deliverables started efficiently and ensuring projects move smoothly through the internal plan-preparation phase.

• Plan Production:
  Draft complete residential floor plans, site plans, elevations, and permit sets ready for municipal submittal.
• Project Setup & Workflow:
  Initiate drafting files for new projects, organize drawing sets, and keep technical deliverables on track to maintain project momentum.

• Apply a solid understanding of residential building codes during drafting to minimize plan-check revisions and ensure technical accuracy.

  Work directly with internal team members to resolve plan adjustments, details, and drafting requirements.

• Software Proficiency:
  High proficiency in Sketch Up and Layout (Sketch Up Pro / Layout) for creating detailed 2D permit drawings and 3D models.
• Building Code Knowledge:
  Working knowledge or foundational concept of the International Residential Code (IRC) and residential building standards.
• Drafting Focus:
  Experience producing accurate, clear, and structured residential construction/permit documents.
• Detail & Execution:
  Strong attention to detail, technical accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple drafting tasks independently.
