Job Description

Provide oversight and instruction for CPAT orientations, practice sessions, and final exams.

Job Duties
  • Responsible for the overall conduct and safety of skill evaluation areas
  • Ensure the integrity and reliability of the examination
  • Maintain strict security of all examination-related items throughout the examination
  • Ensure that equipment used for the exam is in operable condition
  • Use CPAT skill sheets developed by the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) to evaluate the students
  • Assist the exam coordinator with the set up and tear down of the skill testing stations
  • Adhere to college and IAFF policies and licensing requirements to evaluate the candidates
Minimum Qualifications
  • One (1) year firefighting experience or Peer Fitness Trainer certification
