As an Environmental Technician
, you’ll be responsible for assisting multiple projects where you will conduct stormwater inspections to support oil and gas projects in the northeastern front range of Colorado and potentially other areas (UT, WY, NM, & TX). This position is located in Windsor
, CO
.
The compensation range for this role is $23/hr to $25/hr
, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. Overtime opportunities are available depending on workload and business priorities.
To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:
- Perform site inspections for stormwater (SW) compliance including evaluating control measures and stabilization.
- Perform site inspections for SPCC compliance including equipment or berm measurements.
- Conduct SW control measure repairs.
- Compile SW and SPCC reports and Visio drawings.
- Provide field notes and photographs of sampling locations to Project Managers.
- Care for and maintain field equipment.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Travel in a company vehicle to oil and gas locations in northeastern CO.
- Perform other duties as requested.

- Safety conscious and continually assess ways to mitigate hazards.
- Ability to carry 40 pounds.
- Ability to walk up to three miles per day (typical days require less than one mile of walking).
- Physical ability to perform outdoor field work in remote settings year-round.
- Ability to safely drive in adverse conditions (e.g., 4x4 roads, snow, mud, dirt roads).
- Effective communication skills with teams and managers.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to stay positive and effective during long and physically challenging days in the field.
- Experience with stormwater inspections.
- Experience working in field conditions.
- Experience collecting field notes on digital survey platforms (Survey
123, Field Maps). - Experience driving in remote locations using 4x4 vehicles.
