Hydraulic Component Rebuild Technician/Mechanic (Aurora - $3,000 SIGN-ON BONUS)
Pay: $34.50 - $50.60 per hour (dependent on education & experience). Sign‑on bonus: $3,000 and referral bonus opportunities available (details provided during interview). Located in Aurora.

- Use safe working practices and follow all company safety requirements when preparing, inspecting, and rebuilding components.
- Disassemble and assemble Caterpillar hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, hydraulic hammers, compactors, valves, and other attachments according to manufacturer specifications.
- Determine the most cost‑effective repair using Caterpillar reusability guidelines.
- Inspect parts for reuse and salvage; develop complete and accurate repair quotes.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area to meet dealership contamination control requirements.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Opportunity to learn and rebuild Caterpillar engines, fuel systems, cylinder heads, transmissions, torque converters, final drives, wheel stations, differentials, and other powertrain components for repair or complete overhaul.
- Provide direction, training, mentoring, and guidance to assigned service technicians.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Post‑secondary education degree or certificate in diesel or automotive.
- Or a combination of education and 2 to 4 years in heavy equipment rebuild and repair of hydraulic components.
- Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands and hearing.
- Squatting, kneeling.
- Ascending/descending ladders, stairs, etc.
- Heavy work that includes carrying, lifting, and moving objects up to 100 pounds or more.
- Data entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication and math skills.
- Safety and product knowledge.
- Basic ability to search for and enter data into a computer.
- Ability to type service reports.
- Noise:
Loud. - Indoors and outdoors.
