- Design and fabricate machined parts and manufacturing tools using lathes, mills, drills, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing and process equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and specifications.
- Support equipment installations, modifications, and improvement projects.
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled maintenance activities.
- Work closely with Engineering and Production teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.
- Maintain documentation and records in compliance with GMP and company standards.
- Maintain spare parts and tooling inventory for machine shop operations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Assist with training and sharing knowledge across the maintenance team.
- 6+ years of machinist experience supporting manufacturing, maintenance, or engineering environments.
- Experience operating manual machining equipment, including lathes, mills, drills, grinders, and welding equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical problem-solving abilities.
- Experience using precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators.
- High mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in an active manufacturing environment.
- Strong hands-on machining, fabrication, and welding experience (TIG, MIG, and stick).
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing production equipment.
- Advanced troubleshooting, fabrication, and repair capabilities across complex manufacturing equipment and systems are preferred.
- Experience leading projects, mentoring technicians, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives preferred.
- Experience coordinating with vendors, engineering teams, and cross-functional departments preferred.
- Pharmaceutical or GMP manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
- Solid Works or similar CAD experience preferred.
