Equipment Technician

The Equipment Technician supports production by helping maintain, repair and fill automated resin dispensing machines and production moulds. Responsibilities include supporting production self-managed teams, assisting in repairs or maintenance of dispensing machines, filling machines with components and completing all production paperwork, performing mould repairs/support refurbishment, cleaning of machines as part of first line maintenance, maintaining mould, mouldette's, root plates, mould services, working to detailed planned maintenance using electronic asset management, using electronic asset management to record all work against each machine, keeping records of parts used and up to date Kanban system, understanding mechanical drawings, understanding of basic electricity, hydraulics and pneumatics, maintaining a clean and orderly work environment, ability to receive and maintain forklift certification, lifting, positioning, and/or removing material from work areas, using and handling hazardous materials and understanding their hazards at various locations using machines and equipment, properly segregating hazardous materials and waste, communicating to warehouse and/or shipping the transport of hazardous materials and waste according to strict regulatory requirements, complying with state and federal regulations for handling, storage, disposal, transport etc.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), 1–2 years of relevant experience in mechanical systems, electrical work, or equipment maintenance and repair, ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, ability to write simple correspondence, ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization, ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, excellent written and communication skills, a high degree of mechanical aptitude and experience, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, labor-intensive production environment.

Blue Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, every other Saturday from 6PM - 6:30AM, pay range: $25.50 - $29.50 per hour ($3 night shift differential).
