Trainee Laboratory Technician
Location: Windsor CO 80550
Duration: 12+ Months
Pay rate: $19.90/hr $25.00/hr on W2 without benefits
Shift:
- 5 days on / 2 days off
- 12-hour shifts
- Tuesday through Saturday, 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Occasional overtime and after-hours support may be required
The Trainee Laboratory Technician is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and reliable PSD to customers. The Trainee Laboratory Technician identifies opportunities to improve service delivery. This person performs quality assurance tests on company products, prepares laboratory reports prior to service delivery at the wellsite, and provides advanced technical support during additive selection and fluid design. The Trainee Laboratory Technician maintains contact with the Client Support Labs and/or operating locations, product centers and the InTouch repository.
- Ensure job deliverables are accurate and delivered on time.
- Develop the competency level required to perform advanced additive selection and fluid design.
- Ensure that laboratory equipment is in clean, working condition and that waste is regularly disposed.
- Prepare technical presentations for internal and external customers.
- Perform regular audits to ensure the laboratory operates according to required standards.
* Assist the Design/Technical Engineer and Product Champions with technical support as required. - Perform risk analysis before each task or job to identify and mitigate potential safety or quality concerns.
- Participate in Service Quality Meetings with customers and improve performance using action plans.
- Participate in HSE and Quality initiatives.
- Wear PPE and observe HSE policies.
- Maintain the required safety training.
- 0-3 years of experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Preferred laboratory experience
- Basic Microsoft Office 365 skills
- Ability to navigate File Explorer and general computer systems
- Strong willingness to learn and assist across multiple functions
- Windsor location
- 5 days on / 2 days off
- 12-hour shifts
- Tuesday through Saturday, 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Occasional overtime and after-hours support may be required
- Need to be ready to start no later than October 1, 2026 (or earlier if possible)
- Assignment End Date:
- February 9, 2027
- $19.90/hour for candidates with no experience
- Up to $25.00/hour based on relevant experience
- In-person interview coordinated through Fieldglass
- Must be able to meet the lifting requirements of the position
- PPE provided, including coveralls and safety glasses
- Steel-toed shoes required
- Reimbursement available for steel-toed shoes up to $150
- Prescription safety glasses may be reimbursed based on cost and approval
- Lift with 2 hands from floor to knuckle: 54 lbs x 2
- Lift with 2 hands from waist to waist: 54 lbs x 2
- Lift with 2 hands from floor to shoulder: 50 lbs x 2
- Lift with 2 hands from floor to crown: 30 lbs x 2
