You’ll play a key role in making sure every steel surface we deliver is safe, compliant, and finished to the highest standard.
- Surface Prep to Spec:
You’ll use abrasive blasting and proper masking to prepare steel to AMPP, NACE, and SSPC standards. You’ll measure and record profile data before coating. - Flawless Coating Application:
Mix and apply coatings (primers, sealers, etc.) using sprayers or rollers. You’ll verify dry film thickness (DFT), document batch numbers, and ensure the finish is clean and even. - Lead by Example in Safety:
From daily briefings to lockout/tagout, you’ll follow every safety protocol and wear full PPE without compromise, even in extreme conditions. - Quality Control & Communication:
You’ll work closely with QC inspectors and foremen, completing detailed reports and correcting any surface issues before final sign‑off. - Equipment Maintenance:
You’ll keep your tools clean, organized, and in working order to minimize downtime and maximize safety.
- 1+ year of steel coating and profiling experience
- Experience with AMPP, NACE, and SSPC standards
- Physically fit to work 10‑12 hour shifts, often outdoors
- Comfortable in PPE, including respirators and suits
- Able to pass a respirator medical clearance and vision test
- Willingness to work overtime and in all weather
- Strong communication skills (English required)
- Legal to work in the U.S.
- AMPP Industrial Coating Application Certificate
- ASTM‑D4228 Coating Applicator Qualification
- Forklift Operator Certification
- Respirator, Safety, and Heat Stress Training
- Pay:
Competitive hourly wage of $25 to $30 per hour, based on experience and skill. - Health Benefits:
