Senior Accountant

Direct Hire - An architectural design, engineering, and manufacturing company in the Windsor area, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the financial operations. Pay up to $115k

• Financial Reporting & Close: Lead month-end/year-end close; prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements; maintain general ledger accuracy, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations; analyze results and provide actionable insights.
• Project & Cost Accounting: Support project accounting and revenue recognition (POC/cost-to-cost); monitor budgets, costs, billings, and profitability with project managers; track WIP/backlog; assist with manufacturing cost accounting, inventory, and job costing.
• Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal policies; maintain and improve internal controls; support internal/external audits; monitor regulatory requirements for engineering and manufacturing operations.
• Qualifications & Tools: 5-8+ years accounting experience; strong GAAP knowledge; CPA preferred; experience with project accounting, WIP, and long-term contract revenue recognition; cost accounting and ERP experience (e.g., SAP).
